Familiar

I love the familiarity of this picture. I see this sight a lot, and it doesn't bother me one bit. A lot of people I travel with just don't seem to enjoy it. They don't like airplanes, or they don't like being away from their own bed, or they're just flat worn out from doing this so long and they've lost the joy of it. It is difficult to be away from my girls but aside from that, I love everything about this life that I chose, set in motion, and continue to happily live.

The added bonus is the the time with the girls is so precious. There isn't much of a rut that we fall into. We go and we go, and when we see each other, we're happy. Even though they're teenagers, they're still happy to see me. I think that's a pretty darn big deal.

I know there are folks who judge. I say, screw 'em. This has worked remarkably well for us, this little family I have. We miss each other, we love each other, we enjoy our time together when we have it. We live our lives, though. I think that's important.

5 things I'm thankful for:
1) Sound mind and body
2) Will, spirit, adventure
3) Tori & Erin, my wonderful grown and still growing girls
4) Breakfast of yummy oatmeal to fuel a very long day
5) A job I really love. :)
