mellow yellow days

Went over to Eskdale & Wasdale today, our primary reason was to go and collect our new canoe, of which we are all so pleased with, and can't wait to get it kitted out so we can head out on some trips with the children.
Added bonuses today were getting to have lunch at the Screes in nether wasdale. some friends run it, it's the 1st time we have managed to pop in since caroline and steve took it over, it's lovely and the food was great, proper local pub food. And we also got to see some friends at Outward Bound in Eskdale, we both used to work there and I occasionally still freelance there so it's great going back, bumped into some old friends and had a good wander about, they have the most amazing bank of daffodils, I never seen anywhere with as many.
