Sunday Marriage Market

In Lianhuashan Park, Shenzhen there is a small group of trees where parents of unwed children post classified ads. Walking through it is clear to see how very serious an activity this is. With parents taking down phone numbers and vital statistics, some parents even go as far as to take their son/daughter along with them to the 'market' to help speed the process along. I was supprised to see the range of ages on the ads, some as old as 65 (who I suspect must have placed the add themselves), whilst I passed one ad for a 23 year old man/boy. What pushy parents!
