Cherry blossom

Another sure sign of Spring round here is the cherry orchard at Reed Towers coming into bloom (it's currently a fairly modest orchard, consisting, as it does, of one tree). Also a sign to keep the windows shut for a couple of weeks for fear of going into anaphylactic shock. It was pollarded to within an inch of its life last year, so I'm not expecting a huge crop this year.

In other local fruit tree news, the plum blossom has already come and gone, meaning it'll be time to forage for fruit along the Basingstoke Canal before long.
