Gallery Sunday
This is my cousin Rosy, with two of her paintings at a small gallery near the Place Vendôme in Paris.
She showed a half-dozen works in all, including two small sculptures, with two other artists. The little show was on for just four days through today.
Rosy is mainly concentrating on family portraits, as you can see here. She's originally from New Hampshire, but has lived and worked in Paris for nearly a decade. She started mainly as a sculptor, but has increasingly moved to painting.
Edit: Later I saw an extraordinary exhibition on the poster art of Michal Batory, at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. He is Polish but has worked in Paris since the late 1980s. I was blown away--if you're curious, check out the link.
