Flowers and Greens

A friend of mine was recently telling me that he is not impressed with shots of flowers. Not sure why he feels this way. Perhaps because, such shots are somewhat stereotype..

To me, shooting a flower can be interesting without being feminine. A flower can contain an interesting range of textures and colours. It can affect light in interesting ways. Absorb some, reflect others. I think shots of flowers can demonsrate a photographer's taste not only in colours but also reflect his/her mood...
