Red-necked Wallaby
I was out on Loch Lomond again today on my canoe. It was my brothers turn, and he wanted to see one of Inchconnachans' famous wallabies. After searching for ages, we finally found this one. And believe it or not, its exactly the same wallaby i blipped recently, i can recognise it by the white eye. Wallabies are great, but i also had a first time encounter, with non other than a Capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus). Loch Lomond holds the most southerly population in Scotland, and the islands contain only a few pairs, so you are very lucky to see one at all. Amazing, and another bird ticked off the list.
