Sexy, Boiled Peanuts

I am an educated woman. I am degreed twice over one being an advanced degree. And yet, I know nothing of boiled, canned peanuts. I don't know if I am doing Texas or The South any good. Why would the knowledge of such a product be hidden from me for 35 years?
