Burj Khalifa
Our mission for our day in Dubai was to go up the worlds tallest tower. We got there early but disovered that it was fully booker for the day. So, we paid for an immediate entry which is a lot more expensive but as for as the exchange rate goes, not a lot of money.
The security man let us through before the first tour group so we got a lift to ourselves as well as the observation deck for at least 15 minutes before any other touists turned up.
The view was amazing. Even better they have an outdoor deck. Amazingly the observation tower is probably only two thirds of the way up the bulding. I can't imagine what it must be like at the top.
The rest of the day was spent walking around the Dubai Mall (amazing) and later on, a walk along the Dubai creek in the old part of the city. We sampled some more of the local cuisine at another little kebab shop.
Dubai is an amazing place. For the most part the people were very friendly.
We were still getting used to the change of timezones so we turned in early again.
