"Drop it!"

Mia Maldita, my 'other' daughter, is a 4 year old pit bull cross. We rescued her when she was a 7 month old pup. She was about to go into a dog shelter where she would have been put down after a month if no one adopted her. She's full of the joys of spring and spent the afternoon haring around the garden with her bone. I took dozens of shots of her today, none of them useable - a blur of muzzle here, a bit of hindquarter there. Just as I was giving up, she decided to have mercy on me and stay still for a few seconds. She even agreed to drop her bone for this shot.

Bone chewing is hard work, so she's having a power nap as I type. She'll be up again shortly to supervise me as I cook dinner.
