Driving Home

On the way home from work tonight I had one eye on the sunset and one eye on the road! The sky was changing so quickly and I was looking for a safe place to pull in and get a shot of it. There were a couple of cars close up behind me, and I was going slowly, trying to get them to overtake so I could stop, but they just hung in there, all of us dawdling along, probably thinking I was half witted!

Eventually I turned off the main road and pulled into a gateway to take this. The whole loch was purple - it was quite eerie. We quite often have superb orange and red sunsets, but purple ones are a bit of a novelty.

It's been a terrific day here today, and even though I've been in work all day I have enjoyed seeing the sunshine coming in through the windows and seeing the glorious blue sky. Day off on Thursday, so I hope it lasts till then!
