you may be wondering what the hell its is?

its a "love token"

way back when in times of yor, this George 2nd penny (from 17-1800`s) which is about the size of a modern 2 pence would have been bent to this shape. you would first have engraved your initials on one side and the one you fancy or love initials upon the other side of the coin. then give to the "one"
along with the giving of flowers it was a common way to show your admiration of someone during courtship..

if you were rejected at any time the coin would be tossed away and seeming as i found this coin in a farmers field, hence its condition. i dare say someones heart had been broken. then thrown away with the coin.

in those days the penny was worth abit. the modern equivalent would be me making a paper dart out of a fifty pound note and launching it at the one i love.

with my luck though the 50 quid dart would probably jab somewhere unwelcome and in return i would get a right hook and a lighter wallet lol
