Some Day I'll Wake and Rub My Eyes....
I can't be doing with all this clock changing nonsense.
I spend a week asking everyone if the clock has changed or not; because (a) I haven't completed as much work as I would have liked, and (b) because I'm exceptionally tired for the time of day it says it is.
Today, was like that from about 8 am.
I knew I wasn't going to help Si by taking a lift, so I said I would catch the train.
Sadly I missed the first one, because I decided to find out if Shaznidada's dada was in fact her Dada, or was in fact a random stranger her mother had pointed out in the street. Maury did the test and it turned out that Shaznindada's dada was in fact a stranger her mother had pointed at in the street.
Then I dragged myself together and out the door with Toolibelle. I rather hoped she was going to lock the door, but no she ran off, and so I had to guddle around looking for a key.
By the time I found it, and locked it, I had approximately 4 minutes to cover the 5 minute walk to the station.
I walked quite quickly, and when I got with 300 yards of the station, I saw the bloody thing coming. I walked a bit faster, all the while texting my mum, (in case of emergency), and when I reached the foot of the station hill, it occurred to me, that If I put in a bit of speed I might just manage it.
Stupid, Stupid me. I ran the last 100 yards, up a 1/2 gradient (if that means up 1 foot for every 2 feet yah?), and as I crashed through the station gate, pushing aside mothers and toddlers walking to nursery, I lept, and bounced thru the doors just as they "beep beep beeped", and shut.
The couple standing in front of me, looked at me, wide eyed in amazement. "you made it" she said. "yes", I gasped, "and now I must die".
Bloody work. Bloody trains.
