The Eden Project

What vision Tim Smit had in setting up the Eden Project. The pit left from clay quarrying was covered with soil made from compost and the amazing biomes and other buildings put up. Not just making a place of beauty, or a much needed job creation scheme, but an educational experience in how we should be taking care of the resources of our planet.

This is my third visit and I am still impressed with not only what has been created already but the plans being developed. Next they are planning to bore 2 holes into the granite below the project to access the heat energy. I just love the way that they remain focussed on their purpose.
