Roz went shopping in town this morning, which means Spaghetti Bologneise for dinner tonight.

I think she bought all but two bags of the best pasta from Harvey Nick's. I understand what G and BB were saying about home made pasta but, purely to save time and effort, we're sticking with ready made stuff for now. Partly this is because we read in the Heston book that drying th epasta changes the characteristics and makes it better able to absorb the sauce. Apparently in his restraunt they make theri own pasta then dry it. The other factor is that we don't have a machine for squeezing out the spaghetti and while the traditional method of doing it by hands looks good fun I'm not confident in my ability to do this.

We drank the nice Barolo we got for Christmas last night, so I think it will be the last bottle of Awatea tonight with food.
