Only a Fool?
This was the cheapest car on the lot - almost $100k US with tax, license and "your spending too much on a car" fees. Yes, they exist. At least in California. If you buy a automobile over $35k, you pay an extra tax, called the Luxury Car Tax or LCT. I think it's how the government tells you that your spending way to much on transportation.
Back to the "Only a Fool" title:
The other automobiles on the lot were a variety of Bentleys and a number of Lamborghinis and Ferraris. None of these cars were priced under $200k US. Now I ask you, doesn't it take a fool to spend that kind of money on a vehicle that will loose half its value in a matter of a year or less? I guess if you have that kind of money, you really don't think about it - it's all emotion. Wouldn't that be a good definition of a fool? The saying goes: "A fool and his money are soon parted."
...This 2011 Lotus is pretty cool though.
Enjoy!
