One of the many and varied parts of my job is designing and producing printed circuit boards, or PCB's. Once you have a design completed, you can churn out the boards quite easily.Though the method for small scale production usually involves some corrosive chemicals, to etch away the unwanted copper.
After that, in this design, there's the holes to be drilled out. 13 boards produced, with 95 holes in each, equals 1235 in all. Most were on target, with only a few slightly off. My eyes are somewhat tired after that lot! Fortunately it didn't take too long.
The boards are for a small gadget that some folk will be making, whilst practicing their soldering skills. And then, after testing, I'll have to try and get any faulty ones working.
