AMARYLLIS
It was a beautiful flower stem. Straight up with three proud flowers. Part of a flower arrangement in the sitting room. I didn't picture the stem in that state. Don't know why not. Perhaps done too many times.
One flower broke off, one flower hung down and one lost a petal. And in that condition it was placed outside in a quiet corner in the backyard by the fence ... to die 'in peace'.
This sunshinin' morning I saw it standing, still straight up but with no pride and so fragile. Sunshine through the petals that rest and you can see the veins like you see those on (very) old people. What comes up, must go down ...
Considering that law of life I took this picture ... I never made before.
