Goldfinches

Aren't these guys charming? They are enjoying the nyjer seeds which are in a feeder that only works for birds with slim beaks - the starlings and tits can't get at them.

I was going to post a shot of the lambs but the light has been strange all day so I couldn't get a decent shot - I could have gone in the field to get a close-up but sheep can break your arm with a wing (although that could be swans). I'll try to get a shot of them later in the week if the sun ever breaks through the clouds. I also went to the coast after a meeting but the tide was out and it's hard to make a muddy beach look like anything other than a muddy beach when there is no decent light.

So.... Tuesday's gone, with the wind.
