Kittiwakes

Busy day in Gateshead, best draw a veil over that.

I realised a bit late that I'd booked on a train home half-an-hour earlier than the usual one, so was trotting over to the station very much faster than my usual snail's pace ambling when I noticed that the kittiwakes are back in residence on the Tyne Bridge - well, the early arrivals anyway. This tower will get a lot busier later in the season. There were also quite a lot under the bridge itself already and even a few on the Guildhall window ledges.

As it happened, I needn't have hurried since the earlier train was delayed by 25 minutes. But then, the one I usually get was cancelled. Hey ho.
