Patience, persistence...and peanuts, part iv

Today the birds had a competitor for the peanuts in my little black bag. This American red squirrel gave them a run for their money. I lost count of the times he climbed up on the bench, where I had placed the bag, to help himself to another peanut. The feisty little squirrel also aggressively chased off a number of larger grey squirrels that came close to the bench. They were twice his size but easily intimidated by the little one you see in the blip.
