Organised?
I am afraid not.
I went to the Photovision trade show at Ingliston this morning.
Not too impressed I am afraid.
Free parking inside the ground (instead of half a mile away) was good.
The lack of signs to direct you to the rear of the building instead of the main entrance wasn't so good.
The cheery greeting at the door from the girl handing out the bag of leaflets was nice.
The fact that they had no working pens to fill in the form as soon as you got inside the door wasn't so good. (Turned out there was a pen in the bag of leaflets ..... but nobody new or had had time to see what was in the bag before being asked to fill in a form)
The first seminar started at 10am
But the 'show' disn't start until 11am (so everybody tried to watch the seminar - result couldn't see a thing, or hear despite there being 6 speakers in the place)
The majority of stands seemed to be pushing wedding albums - which I don't require and even the likes of Loxley Colour would not deal with anything but albums and photobooks (which was a bummer because I wanted to speak to somebody about processing out of date film amonst other things).
I was also half in the market for a Wacom graphics tablet so it would not have taken much to get me to buy.
Wacom failed to turn up...................
All in all - a bit disapointing really
