Lavender showers with grasshopper

Here is Thalictrum - Lavender Showers - one of the stars of the late summer border. Difficult to photograph, particularly in its lovely bud stage, but here it is, right at the end where all but one of the flowers have lost their golden dustings on their stamens.

A little grasshopper bottom thrown in for fun.
