spirals...

...i love them! someone talked once about 'the universality of spirals.' i thought, at the time, they were being a touch pretentious, but many years on, i realise that this symbol has been cropping up all over the world for as long as man has been decorating things.

these are - were! - on my bathroom wall. how can the replacement of only a bath & tiles cause so much upheaval?!
