Sea Urchin

By seaurchin

Managed to get the children out this morning and gulp in some fresh air on the beach. We were hoping to beachcomb after the stormy weather, but the beach was amazingly clean and free from any nautical treasures. The girls paddled (in wellies) and Sam mooched about, hands in pockets. Watching him, he seems to be in some in-between place - no longer a wee boy, but not yet grown up. Sometimes you can see how torn he is , wanting to act all cool, yet desperate to be involved - even if it is just splashing around in the sea. I never thought that watching them grow up and become would pull at my heart so much. Lots of sand blowing about, so we all left with gritty mouths and scratchy eyes.
