A rather sober affair

Would you believe this is just a glass of water-lit up with tea light in red holder behind it! rather harder to believe is no 2 son is drinking the water out of choice on a family meal out to celebrate his birthday!
I think his week's holiday has taken it's toll. He is a party animal at heart and likes his drink when out but a week of boozing and going to bed at 4am in Tenerife has tired him out!
Or it may be that the restaurant we went to didn't have a drinks licence so we could take our own drink that curbed his drinking. I bet you if we were paying restaurant prices he would have wanted at least 3 or 4 pints of most expensive lager!
No 1 son only drank 1 can and I was on soft drinks having given alcohol up for lent. As I said rather a sober birthday celebration!
