Mystery Shoes

I've seen them hanging from phone lines, and then there is that occasional single shoe seen strewn in the street - usually in an intersection, but I have never seen shoes this nice sitting so neatly forlorn and mysteriously alone.

"Don't jump" I whispered. "Someone will come along before you know it and take you home."
