Memphis!

The orchestra and chorus took a trip to see Memphis on Broadway today. We're so lucky that we live close enough to the city to go in for the day to see a play. We were supposed to have a workshop in the morning but it turned into sixty kids just sitting in an empty dance room for an hour. The people never showed up so we're getting a refund. Then we ate lunch at Mars 2112. I broke a glass....I was reaching to blow out the candle on the table because someone was dangling a straw wrapper in it and I knocked my glass over. I really don't know how it broke...it just fell over onto the table. After lunch, we went to see the play. We had seats way up in the balcony. It was scary, especially because someone from our school fell on the stairs on their way to their seat. They're okay, but it was still worrying. The play was fantastic! I loved every second of it and I even bought a "hockadoo" t-shirt! I would love to go back and see that play again.
