Through my lens, Willis

Light Engine in glow

This is how a light engine for a large theater digital projector would look operating from above. The light comes in from a very bright light source at the 1 o'clock position and passes through several mirrors where it then enters a prism. The prism breaks the light into 3 main colors red green and blue and controls the light using millions of tiny mirrors. From there the light is combined and past to the screen through a large lens (not in this image) which is pointed at the screen (7 o'clock position). This is a businesses end of a DLP projector.

This was a composite made from a hand-held, 3 shot HDR.
