End of an era

Today is the last day for Hung Hom ferries (Hung Hom <-> Wan Chai / Central). Many people rushed to take it. Star Ferry is ending the services which started in the 1960s because of continued losses (over 2 milions HKD per year!!) and dwindling passenger numbers.

I didn't have much memories about this route but I do think that areas near Hung Hom ferry pier (Whampoa) is very relaxing! It's always sad and hard to say goodbye, but seriously, who would take ferries when you have buses and metro which is much convenient? even ferries are cheaper? "Time is money".

P.S. Tsim Sha Tsui <-> Wan Chai / Central still in service, just hope the pier won't move again...
