My Mate licks Marmite

Dear Marmite,

I got home late,
And said to my mate,
Would you like a quick bite
Of toast and marmite?

No brown jar in site,
But the lid shining bright,
In the bed of my mate,
Oh! Just too late.

If you like, I might,
If you think it's all right,
Offer my mate
Who is really great,
At licking out jars that are in a state.

I can confirm that the lids are not dog proof, but half a jar of marmite causes no harm to a medium sized dog!
