Onwards we walked ,day three
We continued our trek and found ourselves at lunchtime in an attractive fishing village on the west bank of Carrick Roads, just north of Falmouth It once contained a small Royal Navy Dockyard, but the seafront is now popular with yachtsmen. Mylor Parish Church (Anglican) is in Mylor Churchtown and is dedicated to St Melorus. The present structure dates from a major reconstruction around 1870 but parts of the original church dated back to Norman times and the church still has a Norman north door ,
it was a welcoming and peaceful retreat after a warm walk. Inside we were the only ones , so quiet and serene ....
later wandered through the graves and out to the harbour
The Voyage of Life,s at an end
The Mortal Affliction is past
The age that in heaven they spend
For Ever and Ever Shall last.
