Wind Farm

Went for a long walk in the snow in the Campsie Fells in Scotland with my son and our Bernese Mountain Dog (Behr). Took this shot from some distance from the fledgling wind farm being built in the Campsies. These blades are blots on the landscape and can be seen for miles around. Don't know why they are not painted in a way to blend more peacefully into the surrounding countryside.

For me, the jury's out on whether they will provide the long-term sustainable energy solution we need. Its coming at a cost to our landscape which may be inevitable but nothing I've not yet seen a 'tank-busting case' for them yet. Of course I may not be looking hard enough. I still have an open mind on them but, as I say, for me the jury's still out.
