Hunting in London

Spotted this bird of prey perched on a lamp post in Trafalgar Square, London. It's job, it seemed, was to scare away the resident pigeons.

Not quite a Monetary Policy Committee hawk! I don't know what type of bird of prey this is. Perhaps some eagle-eyed (sorry!) blipper can identify it.
