Tales from the other side
Check this spooky tale out.
My Mum was born and brought up in Sheffield. It was the 1940s and she lived her childhood in a street called Struan Road. She married my old man, Tom McLaughlin, and together they brought up 4 boys - Adam (in banking and computing), Felix (buys camera equipment online), James (blipper extraordinaire) and Leo (in banking and computing) - in a house in Trinity, Edinburgh. The old man's been dead 5 years. Mum still lives in the house.
Email from dear Mum today to the four boys:
Subject: two spooks on a Muuuunday
" A perusal of my deeds shows that ma hoose had a name in the 1940s. It was "Struan".
I recently wrote to insurers to give them more detail of my work at home and the existence of business telephone line etc. I received an email acknowledgement to tell me that they had received my letter and were quite happy with the information. The email was signed by Tom McLaughlin.
I kid you not."
We're all thinking this
Then
Felix:
Subject: RE: two spooks on a Muuuunday
"I am sure I told you about the acknowledgement email for my 1st digi camera, and then my vijyo camera from Pixmania.com....the email was signed by the Customer Service Director - James Felix!!! "
Then
Mum:
Subject: RE: two spooks on a Muuuunday
"Well, Mr. James Felix is still alive at least; I had an email from him only this week, asking me to participate in customer survey, following a recent purchase from Pixmania."
Then
James:
Subject: RE: two spooks on a Muuuunday
"It all makes me wanna got to church, get down on my knees and pray cos these little hints from the afterlife are scaring the bejesus ootta me."
Then
Adam:
Subject: RE: two spooks on a Muuuunday
"Well you can go to church with one of our data warehouse support team, whose department is described as 'ADAM Banking'. His name...James McLaughlin"
James:
Subject: RE: two spooks on a Muuuunday
"Deary me - and I still have that book on the bookshelves in the house: "A computer called Leo" "
Then
Then
Then
Leo:
Subject: RE: two spooks on a Muuuunday
"I can't add to any of this, other than a rumour I picked up that they are considering naming this bank after me.
Can these emails stop now please."
A pinprick to the balloon.
Anyway, I'm sure you'll agree we all briefly entered the Twilight Zone.
Parallel universes? There are no coincidences mind....;o)
To be honest the rest of the spookies are a bit shit compared to the first one from my Mum - now that is FUBAR
