For Sale
All I can say, I'm glad it's Friday, it's been quite a week. Three days away, with several pretty big meetings, another big meeting today, and the first full campaign we've launched for a client as their lead marketing agency.
Today was the culmination of a pitch that started 4 months ago, an idea that was seeded 4 weeks ago, and a creative that started literally just 7 days ago. Today it rolled out across Facebook, Twitter, Google Adwords, and number of site sites online display advertising, a microsite, and a major campaign launched on TradeMe. Interestingly, this campaign has no offline elements (e.g TV or print/newspaper), it's purely digital event. And it's being monitored to death, so we'll know on daily basis if it's performing. Can't do that in print.
The deal was sweetened further with an idea of auctioning a very historic chairlift on TradeMe, with all funds donated to a great local cause. If you're a kiwi and have a link with Ruapehu, this auction might be for you. Interestingly, it?s only been up a few hours and it was at $126 with 1000 views, it's now at $250 and 2300 views 1hr later. I have a feeling it could go for around $5k, wouldn't be surprised. I mean seriously, Sir Ed Hillary opened this chair. How cool is that! There is a great video here.
I'm enormously proud of the team, they have over delivered in the past 4 days, as it was only officially approved on Monday. What a fab group of people, well done!
