I spy

Do you often just sit at a window at night and stare out into the world, watching cars and people living their lives? I do, but with a view like this, why wouldn't you?

One of the most exciting things about my new camera is just how well I can zoom now. It's quite incredible! And so I can play peek-a-boo with the world, hidden in our hilltop home, photographing the roads as they calm with the onset of night.

In some ways I like this shot better, but my final choice appeals because of effect the light and dark has in setting out the street patterns, revealing small glimpses into the life of a corner of the city.
