Wood Storks

I worked half a day today and then had a bunch of errands to run before I went to visit Uncle John. While I was out and about I stopped by Saddle Creek where the wood storks hang out and was not disappointed. These are an adult and a juvenile wood stork with their awkward legs and big bills. I also managed to capture this one on take-off. I swear it was funny, it was walking on the water and then went into flight.

Today was a beautiful day with perfect weather. There was still alot of water laying around and lots of damage to be cleaned up but the sun was shining and it was glorious!!
