The South Stand

At the Hong Kong Sevens today and tomorrow. This is one of the oldest rugby sevens tournament and it has an enviable reputation as the best party tournament on the sevens circuit.

Within the stadium The South Stand is the party stand. Enter the South Stand without a fancy dress or some kind of costume and you will feel out of place.

The atmosphere for the whole day was fantastic. People queued for hours to get into the south stand, many completely pissed by the time they got in. From my vantage point i witnessed only one man being evicted over the whole two days. Beer flowed all day and continued in the evening as several parts of Hong Kong ere dominated by rugby revelers.

Wales did not win their group and will contest the bowl competition tomorrow with, among others, Canada and France.
