Poorly Miss Ava

Lunch with the extended family today to celebrate the birthday of the only other boy child in the clan. Poor little Ava was really unwell. Droopy and glassy eyed and spent most of the afternoon curled up in my lap. She is normally such a sparkly little soul but today even a bag full of sweeties couldn't tempt her. Here she is tucked up in a quiet corner with her toes under my knees to keep them warm. She said I could leave the room but only for five minutes and then I needed to come straight back to her side. She fell asleep about ten minutes after this was taken.

My girl went off on her week long exchange to Washington D.C. today. I think I might be missing her already.
