ROOF DUCKS
Best lookout roof in the district. They often land on the roof and sit on the ridge tiles for the best view. Just waiting for their tea. The female Mallard we call Garganey because of her eye stripe. She's been visiting for years, and this year with two drake Mallards in attendance. Perhaps she hasn't made her mind up yet. They follow her round and round the garden as she forages about for food, hardly eating anything themselves; and if she sits on the lawn, they sit on the lawn, a few paces behind her. As daft as ducks.
