Dereliction

This is the imposing doorway of what looks to be a derelict section of Upper Crescent, in Belfast. Part of the Queen's University Conservation Area, it's not looking very well conserved to me! I was standing in front of this building today wondering what it might have felt like to enter through the door in candlelight in 1845 when it was built. Wouldn't it make for a great attraction for tourists to have it exactly like it was on that morning in 1845 when the keys were handed over to the new owner?
