I failed.
I tried to keep away but i just couldn't manage it.
Even not posting for the last week saw my camera going everywhere with me. So I'm back and I've back blipped for anyone who's interested.
This is Burradon Tower.
The Manor of Burradon was acquired by John Orde in 1441 when due to the devastation wrought by the Scots and the poor quality of the soil it was valued at only 20 shillings a year.
The tower, originally a three storeyed single square bay, was probably built about 1553 by Bertram Anderson, a nephew of Orde.
Now all I need to dio is see what everyone has been up to and get commenting again.
