Late blip as just back from a Fit For Purpose event in Cardrona, near Peebles, with entertainment by Jonathan Veira - enormous fun but late finishing.
In days gone by (1950's) it was not considered a sin to collect wild flowers and my father dug up a plant of Wood Anemones from Fox Cover, our local wood. He also dug up a Violet. He planted them in the shrubbery where they thrived and spread.
When we sold the house my brothers and I took a plant each for our own gardens and this is mine, in a pot. It has spread and is now ready to be planted under my Beech tree.
