Free Range Day

The girls have many hours of outside-the-coop time every day, but today they got outside in a real free-range sort of way. We let them out of their 'play area' and just let them have at it. Sure there are chicken-eating dogs on both sides of our property that could have tangled with them, but we were out there supervising. Oh man, did they have a good time. They know where all the good stuff is--out behind our bedroom window and then crossing over the deck (the no poop zone, but Hilda didn't get the memo), around the side underneath the kitchen window. Worms, seeds, bugs, and sprouts galore; they were in heaven.

Picture project remains all over the dining room table for a week now. Perhaps tomorrow's blip will show you just how that looks. I have vowed not to let it go on for too long. Eventually we will need to use that table for dining again. Maybe.
