Working Bee

On the Monday following the quake, a working bee was organised at school to clear the fields of silt. It was very heartening to see such a huge turnout of staff, students, current and former students and members of the local community. It was a good chance to catch up with people following the quake and swap stories. It was the pretty much time I'd talked to anyone I knew apart from neighbours and a couple of extended family members.
