Mother's Day

There are plenty of mementos of my mother around the cottage but as these are on the shelf that I've been examining on Blip, for Mother's Day I have chosen these mugs she gave me, facsimiles of those designed by the great architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928) for use in the famous Willow Tea Rooms in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.

The nearest Mackintosh property to me is in Northampton and I hope to visit it some time this year.
