Glencorse Reservoir

Painted by John Crockett, artistic director of a small post-war touring theatre company called 'The Compass Players', based in a house called The Warren next door to Prinknash Abbey, Gloucestershire. It was while working with this company that my parents met, and 60 years after this was painted we hope to be able to visit John's widow, my godmother Anne Crockett, in Cornwall in a couple of weeks.

60 years used to seem such a long time but now I, like my parents I'm sure, realize how little time it really is.
