Mother's Day

Mrs Orion and I are enjoying some perfect spring weather in the Lake District.
We had a superb walk in South Walney Nature Reserve with birds galore. I had planned to blip a flock of eider with Piers Castle in the background. Then on our way back to the cottage this drama unfolded. A ewe about to give birth got into trouble and within 5 minutes 7 farm workers had assembled to give her a helping hand. The ewe had twins and as we left all three were doing well.
