SUNSHININ' SUNDAY LADY

The weather forecast for this Sunday wasn't too bad. We'd planned a walk in the town of Breda, in the South of the Netherlands. The weather wasn't bad at all. So it was very busy in the centre of the town.

There were festivities on the occasion of Half Lent, a particular celebration of the time of fasting. The streets and the squares were full of party-goers in beautiful party garments, there were streetbands all playing their own music and there was dancing, and laughter and singing and beer, hundreds of gallons of beer :)

And in one of the processions was a beautiful dressed young lady with a big white smile and all worries banished to the day of tomorrow. And behind her a very serious looking guy, also beautiful dressed in party garments but he seems to bear the worries of all the other procession participants.

I wanted to picture that man because of the big contrast, but in one way or another the autofocus of the camera chose, well, that 'lady sunshine' ... ;)
